Fabio wouldn’t of conceded the first 2 goals , when was the last time we conceded from a corner ?

Areola will cost us goals, absolutely nailed on.

Re: Fabianski - Fractured Cheekbone
I don't think this is a blessing. Fab is still the best shot stopper. His distribution can be frustrating at times, but the way we play, I'd rather we have the better shot stopper. Areola is a capable back up, but it's also not an easy transition between keepers. Will likely take the back line and him a game or two to get full in sync.

we will need 3 keepers on the bench now .

Re: Fabianski - Fractured Cheekbone
It looked more like Fab making contact with the Forest player than the other way round. I’ll have to have another look.

Knowing our luck nips will get injured in the warm up tomorrow evening.

Think we can sign an emergency goalkeeper.
What's Rob Green doing now?

Must confess I thought the clash reminded me of Steven Hunts knee on Petr Cech.

Re: Fabianski - Fractured Cheekbone
Not for £60/£70k a week, which I'd imagine it would be if the club extended the current contract.

That would be an awful lot of wages for a reserve keeper that (hopefully) wouldn't play.

That woukd be ok as a back-up keeper though?

God help us if Areola picks up a knock with untried Anang on the bench....

No surprise, the speed the the swelling beneath his eye grew. It’s as I suspected.

That snidey cunt certainly did leave a bit on Fabianski.

Bald headed cunt

Re: Fabianski - Fractured Cheekbone
I too thought it looked deliberate from where I saw it. But that was from the other end of the ground. Seemed that the Forest player lingered to make contact. Although the TV made it look more like Fabianski was a bit slow to get down to the ball.

Anyway, Areola now gets his chance. Assume Anang will become the back up

Re: Fabianski - Fractured Cheekbone
I think we have the option to extend his contract for another year, until the end of next season, VirginiaHam.

Knowing how we're run, we'll probably exercise that, along with Cresswell's.

Re: Fabianski - Fractured Cheekbone
I couldn't make up my mind as to whether that was deliberate, but Aguerd had no doubts.

This may well be the end for Fab. Areeola should make the shirt his, since Fab will be out for at least a couple of months. That's more than enough time, and I think Fab's on a one year contract?

Re: Fabianski - Fractured Cheekbone
Looked quite deliberate to me. Aguerd seemed to think so too.

I think this will be an injury that actually benefits us for the run in

Re: Fabianski - Fractured Cheekbone
Still regard them as neck and neck as far quality goes.

That being the case, the jersey should be Areola's until he gets injured or severely fucks up.

Re: Fabianski - Fractured Cheekbone
Fab been a great servant to the club. But Areola should have been the no1 for a while now. Maybe a blessing in disguise.?
